Our 1-3 year warranty on all “Fleet”/”Long Term Vehicle Signage”

We pride ourselves on providing a cost-effective, reliable service.

Our materials and techniques are tried and tested, with this in mind we have put together the following warranty to back our work:

Vinyl lettering, logos and shapes:

3 years as standard.
Any text, logos or shapes using coloured vinyls.

Digitally printed graphics:

1 year as standard, 3 years available.
Any digitally printed/full colour images, logos or graphics are laminated to ensure longevity.

Wrapping:

1 year as standard, 3 years available.
Any coloured vinyl/digitally printed wraps, conforming to the curvature of the vehicles panels.*

‘Chapter 8’ or Reflective Chevrons:

18 months as standard.
All chevrons and chapter 8 ‘high visibility’ signage

At Extreme Signs, Durability Is Our Watchword

The vinyl signwriting for this van was done by Extreme Signs 5 years before this picture was taken, and it’s still as good as new.

This is the lettering on the side of the van – the paintwork has matted but the vinyl is fine.

Here is a view of the bonnet – the van paintwork has faded and taken some abuse – but the vinyl lettering has remained glossy and bright.

Cleaning.

Cleaning:
Please do not wash your vehicle for 2 weeks after signage is applied. This will allow the vinyl time to truly adhere to the paintwork before agitating.
Our recommended cleaning method for your vehicle and signwriting is hot soapy water (using regular vehicle-designed soap), sponge clean and rinse to finish.

We ask customers to avoid jet washing the signwriting as this may result in removal of letters.

Conditions/Terms:

  • Our warranty applies to signwriting applied to vehicles registered and used within the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.
  • Cleaning must be within ‘normal’ conditions. Using a standard vehicle grade detergent, sponge and hose. Jet washing and strong acid/alkaline chemicals will not only damage paintwork, but will eat into the plastics- using such products/methods void this warranty.
  • When applied in an environment between 10-25 degrees C.
  • *Wrapping warranty excludes textured plastics and contours with a 90 degree angle change of over 20mm.
  • When applied to new vehicles with immaculate manufacturers paint work.
  • This warranty does not extend cover to “consequential damages”.
  • The surface temperature must stay within -20°C to +60°C.
  • All repairs take place at our workshop (Nutsey House, Nutsey Lane, Totton, SO403NB).

Considerations from Vinyl manufacturers specifications, of which apply:

  • “Exposure to severe temperatures and ultraviolet light, as well as conditions in southern European countries, and also in tropical, sub-tropical or desert regions, will cause a more rapid deterioration. This also applies to polluted areas, high altitude, horizontal and south-facing exposure.”
  • “materials are manufactured under careful quality control and are warranted to be free from defect in material and workmanship. Our aggregate liability to the purchaser shall in no circumstances exceed the cost of the defective materials supplied. No salesman, representative or agent is authorised to give any guarantee, warranty, or make any representation contrary to the foregoing.”

Every job is manufacture bespoke to clients requirements, and as such this warranty does not automatically apply to all work carried out by Extreme Signs Ltd.
